The tension increases…the sixth edition of the prestigious Rock meets Classic with its mix of legendary rock-idols and classical music in perfection is touring to Germany, Austria and Switzerland again.
A symbiosis of rock-hits and soulful classic music – this musical cross-over project is showing it all with its astounding performances. Performed live on stage by renowned rock-singers, a first-class orchestra and a fantastic rock band!
This remarkable musical journey will take you through 19 venues continuing the sensational success of the 2014 tour, that stared world-stars like Alice Cooper, Steve Lukather (Toto), Paul Rodgers or Lou Gramm (Foreigner) before!
Now ROCK MEETS CLASSIC is joined by another Idol of Rock: Marc Storace of KROKUS, “The Voice” is touring the world since 40 years and inspires his fans with his raspy voice that spans over three octaves. Together with his band KROKUS, Marc sold over ten million records that reached gold- and platinum-status in the US, Canada, Switzerland and many other countries. In the age of 14 he entered the two planks that mean the world for the first time; by the age of 20 he was already touring Europe with his band TEA as support act for Queen and Nazareth. In 1979 Marc Storace joined KROKUS and – with his shrewed voice - helped the band and their album “Metal Rendez-Vous” to their international break-through. Countless tours with legends like Rainbow, Def Leppard or Motörhead form his status.
The US attracted the band & Marc Storace again and again: His interpretation of “American Woman” achieved cult-status. By now Krokus released 12 studio-records and NOW he is back with Rock meets Classic: Welcome to the show Marc!
As SPECIAL GUEST the sixth edition of Rock meets Classic is happy to announce Italy’s no. 1 singer Gianna Nannini.
Her voice is recognized around the world and her concerts are causing torrents of enthusiasm amongst the audience. The international break-through of the luscious rebel came in 1982 with her staring the “Rockpalast” shows in Essen. Gianna Nannini became an international top-singer with songs like “America”, “Latin Lover”, “Bello e impossibile” “I Maschi” and the soccer-hymn-duet “Un’estate italiana” that she sang with Edoardo Bennato. Her records soon reached gold-status, even in Germany. She is a combatant thru rock music, fighting against Machismo and the excess of power and becoming a modern messenger for Italy, with songs that made it around the world. On her current record “Hitalia” she is trying to bring back 17 songs of Italian origin, by coating them with modern arrangements.
Also starring:
Rock-Legend Ian Gillan – the famous voice of Deep Purple
(“Smoke on the Water”, “Child in Time”, and many more)
The undying & unforgettable Rock-Guitarist of Status Quo - Rick Parfitt
(“Rocking All Over The World”, “In the Army Now” and many more)
Eric Martin (Mr. Big) -  soulful Singer with candid lyrics
(“To Be With You”, “Wild World”, and many more)
John Wetton – elusive Virtuoso and incredible versatile Musician of Asia
(“Heat of the Moment”, and many more)
All artists will be accompanied and uniquely put into spotlight by the Mat Sinner Band and the Symphony Orchestra of Prague.
